As of August 2016, Kent State users do not need to download and use the VPN in order to access the library's databases or resources. The VPN has been replaced by KSU Proxy. Now when you try to access one of the library's databases or content, you will be prompted to login to KSU Proxy with your FlashLine username and password. You do not need to download or install any special software in order to use the proxy. More information about the proxy can be found on the Connect from Off-Campus page.

(While the University does have a VPN service that can grant access to some University resources from off-campus, it is not guaranteed to provide access to library resources from off-campus. For this reason, users trying to access library resources should use KSU Proxy.) FOr more detailed information on the VPN and remote access see here: https://www.kent.edu/keeponworking/connecting-university-resources
