Resources such as Google, Wikipedia, or other online search engines can be used as a starting point to learn some basic information about a topic.  However, you should be very careful about using any information found using those resources. Google offers a specialized resource, Google Scholar, that can be used to find the type of scholarly articles that are also included in our academic databases. Some articles found with Google Scholar are freely available to anyone, but if you are off-campus, you will need to follow these instructions to access library resources.
