In general, you should not have to log in to Ebsco in order to use it, regardless of whether you are on or off-campus.

  • If you are on campus, you are not required to enter your Kent ID or password to access Ebsco.
  • If you are off-campus, you must connect to the KSU Proxy  before attempting to use Ebsco. (You can find information about how to Connect from Off-Campus).

Creating an account with Ebsco is optional. If you do create an Ebsco account, you will still need to connect to the KSU Proxy to access Ebsco content from off-campus. An Ebsco account is useful if you want to save your past searches or search preferences.
