Books whose call numbers have a q (quarto) or f (folio) immediately before the actual call number are oversized. In the circulating collection, oversized books are shelved on the floor that the book would normally be found (by call number),  but shelved separately at the end of that floors' range (on the shelves that are the farthest from the elevator).
