The OhioLINK and SearchOhio services allow Kent State students, faculty, and staff to request books and other items free of charge from many colleges, universities (OhioLINK), and public libraries (SearchOhio) throughout the state of Ohio.

Kent State's Interlibrary Loan service generally should be used only when an item is not available through KentLINK, OhioLINK or SearchOhio. You can place a request with the library's Interlibrary Loan office, and the ILL staff will attempt to locate a copy of the item that can be borrowed.

  1. You can get much of the material in an electronic form from one of the library services, as long as you have installed the VPN. Cannot get Ebsco or Safari and others without using the VPN on your device. Currently in a class that teaches how to do proper research and writing:)
